End User Licence Agreement & Software Terms

Effective date: July 26, 2026

OMNI is an alpha build for experienced software developers. It is free, experimental software provided without support or guarantees. Use it entirely at your own risk.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using OMNI, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

1. Provider and scope

These End User Licence Agreement and Software Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Erik Boivin, operating under the Global Warning Networks name, referred to in these terms as "Global Warning Networks", "we", "us", or "our".

These terms govern the OMNI command-line software, related runtime files, documentation, website, downloads, and updates that link to these terms. You must have the legal capacity to enter this agreement. If you use OMNI for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Software licence and open-source components

OMNI is free software. Subject to these terms, you may download, install, and use OMNI for lawful personal or business purposes. Parts of OMNI may be made available under the MIT License, the Apache License 2.0, or other open-source licences identified with the applicable source code or component.

If an open-source licence grants rights that conflict with these terms, that open-source licence controls for the code it covers. These terms do not reduce rights granted under an applicable open-source licence. Separate third-party components remain subject to their own licence notices.

3. Accounts, provider access, and API keys

OMNI does not include shared model-provider accounts or API keys. You must obtain and use your own credentials for any external service you connect. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential, for all activity performed with them, and for all provider charges, quotas, and account obligations.

Do not include secrets in prompts, tasks, repositories, logs, or material you share with others. If you believe a key has been exposed, revoke or rotate it through the applicable provider.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use OMNI to:

  • violate applicable law or another person's legal rights;
  • access systems, accounts, or data without authorization;
  • create, deploy, or distribute malware or destructive code;
  • circumvent security, usage, or access controls;
  • process content or personal information when you lack the necessary authority, consent, or legal basis; or
  • misrepresent generated work, test results, safety, or legal compliance.

You are responsible for the repositories, commands, tools, networks, credentials, and permissions you make available to OMNI.

5. Agent output and verification

OMNI IS AN ALPHA BUILD. Bugs, incomplete features, unexpected behaviour, regressions, and serious problems may occur. OMNI uses probabilistic models and automated tools. Generated code, analysis, recommendations, commands, and verification results may be incomplete, incorrect, insecure, destructive, or unsuitable for your purpose.

OMNI must never be trusted or followed blindly. Before approving or executing an action, you must understand what it does, independently research its risks, review the affected code and systems, and decide whether it is safe and appropriate. OMNI's guardrails and verification features do not guarantee correctness, security, fitness, or legal compliance.

OMNI is intended only for experienced software developers who can evaluate source code, terminal commands, dependencies, security implications, test results, and recovery procedures. If you are not an experienced developer or cannot independently assess these risks, do not install or use OMNI.

You must maintain appropriate backups, source control, testing, access controls, and human approval. Do not rely on OMNI as the sole control for safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, infrastructure, production, or other high-impact decisions.

You assume all risk arising from commands executed, files changed or deleted, generated code, dependencies installed, credentials used, provider charges, security incidents, data loss, downtime, and decisions made using OMNI or its output.

6. Security and sandboxing

OMNI's default process execution backend does not provide operating-system-level filesystem or network isolation. It is intended for repositories, tools, dependencies, and instructions you trust. Candidate workspace copies and process-tree controls are not equivalent to a security boundary.

Container and microVM isolation require a separately configured, supported backend. If a requested isolation backend is unavailable, you must not treat ordinary process execution as sandboxed. You are responsible for selecting and operating an isolation level suitable for your risk.

7. Third-party services

OMNI may connect to model providers, MCP servers, search services, repositories, package registries, or other third-party services you select. Those services are controlled by their own terms, privacy policies, availability, pricing, and data-use practices. We do not control and are not responsible for those services.

8. Privacy and data

OMNI is designed to keep its configuration, memory, logs, and workspace state on the device where it runs. When you connect an external provider or tool, prompts, code, metadata, or other content may be transmitted to that third party as necessary to perform your request.

You are responsible for reviewing provider settings and policies before sending confidential, proprietary, regulated, or personal information. Website hosting providers may process ordinary server information such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and user-agent data for delivery and security.

9. Ownership

You retain rights you already have in your repositories, content, and credentials. Global Warning Networks and its licensors retain their rights in OMNI, its branding, website, documentation, and materials, subject to the open-source licences applicable to identified code.

"OMNI" and Global Warning Networks branding may not be used to imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation without prior written permission. Rights in model-generated output may vary by provider and jurisdiction. You are responsible for confirming that you may use and distribute output.

10. Updates and availability

We may provide fixes, changes, or new releases. Features and integrations may change or be discontinued. You are responsible for deciding whether and when to install an update and for confirming compatibility with your environment.

We have no obligation to provide maintenance, technical support, security fixes, updates, compatibility, service levels, backups, recovery, or continued availability.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OMNI AND THE RELATED WEBSITE, DOWNLOADS, DOCUMENTATION, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR COLLATERAL. THIS INCLUDES WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SECURITY, AVAILABILITY, AND ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

YOU USE OMNI AT YOUR SOLE RISK. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING ITS ACTIONS AND OUTPUT, PROTECTING YOUR SYSTEMS AND DATA, MAINTAINING BACKUPS, AND DETERMINING WHETHER OMNI IS APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR ENVIRONMENT.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, condition, remedy, or other right that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GLOBAL WARNING NETWORKS, ERIK BOIVIN, CONTRIBUTORS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, DATA, SECURITY, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO OMNI, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH LOSS MAY OCCUR.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF GLOBAL WARNING NETWORKS, ERIK BOIVIN, CONTRIBUTORS, AND LICENSORS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO OMNI WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID DIRECTLY TO GLOBAL WARNING NETWORKS FOR OMNI DURING THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. OMNI IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, SO THAT AMOUNT IS ZERO UNLESS YOU HAVE A SEPARATE WRITTEN PAID AGREEMENT WITH GLOBAL WARNING NETWORKS.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

13. Termination

You may end this agreement at any time by stopping use of OMNI and deleting copies in your possession, subject to any open-source rights that survive independently. Your permission under these terms ends if you materially breach them. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law.

14. Governing law and mandatory rights

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts located in Ontario will have exclusive jurisdiction.

Consumer protection, privacy, and other mandatory laws in your jurisdiction may grant rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract. These terms do not restrict those rights. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited only as much as necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future versions or use of OMNI. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes apply prospectively unless applicable law permits otherwise. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using versions governed by them.
